It’s cold and the low point in a long, high-pressure system, the kind of doldrums that make winter months stretch on forever. Mountain Biking Women of Spokane

More than ever, women are helping grow the Northwest mountain biking community. “In mountain biking you can really set your own level of fun. It’s a way to get out in nature and play as an adult,” says Penny Schwyn co-founder of the Biking Betties women’s riding group, based out of The Bike Hub in Spokane. Women age 15 to 65, and older, enjoy group rides on local trail networks, such as Beacon Hill and Saltese Flats.

Bellingham Traverse

Families, friends and local companies form Chinook (solo), Coho (tandem) and CHUM (relay teams) to run, bike and paddle through Bellingham’s scenic parks, winding trails and open waterways. Course includes 5.5-mile greenways run, 6-mile mountain bike, 18-mile road bike, 3.4-mile trail run, 2.6-mile paddle and .65-mile team TREK.

Cascadia Dirt Cup Season Finale: Chuckanut Enduro

The Northwest’s Premiere Enduro Mountain Bike Race Series showcasing and supporting Cascadia’s world-class mountain bike trails. The 2019 finale will be held on the Chuckanut Mountain Range which offers large amounts of vertical, great views and high quality single-track.
