Valleyfest Multisport Day

2018 Multisport Day: September 23, 2018

Location: Plantes Ferry and Mirabeau Point Park

Valleyfest Multi-Sports Day is sponsored by Coordinated Care, Fleet Feet, The YMCA of the Inland Northwest, and Yoke’s Fresh Market. Timing is by Across the Finish Line.

Enjoy a day full of outdoor events! With a 5k, 10k, family bike ride, Duathlon, and boat-bike-run Triathlon, there’s something for everyone to choose from. Mark your calendar and come get some fresh fall air.

After each race, Yoke’s will provide complementary chocolate milk for participants after the race for a post-exercise pick me up. Leading up to the events on Valleyfest weekend, there will also be live performances, vendors, the Totfest event, a car show, the Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk, and a parade on Friday night. For the schedule of events outside of athletic events, but sure to check out the Valleyfest website.

If you participate as a school, you may win money for your P.E. class for most participants or most school spirit.

Valleyfest 5K/10K Run – Bloomsday Second Seed qualifier

Plantes Ferry Sports Complex | West Picnic Shelter and Spokane River Centennial Trail

The Valleyfest annual timed 5K and 10K Run starts and finishes at the historical Plantes Ferry (West Parking Lot Picnic Shelter) on Sunday, September 23. This timed run is for everyone—from the Spokane Valley adventurer to the serious runner, and for families wanting to stroll the trail and spend time together outdoors!

Runners will get to experience the beauty of Spokane Valley on the Centennial Trail, including the Island Trail Head. The run costs $25 for the 5K and $30 for the 10K if registered by Monday, September 17, 2017, and includes a t-shirt.

Valleyfest Duathlon

Enjoy the scenery of Spokane Valley on our third annual timed Duathlon, taking place Sunday, September 23 at 8:00am. The course consists of a 5-kilometer run, followed by an 11-mile bike ride, and ends with a 5-kilometer run. All transitions take place at Plantes Ferry Sports Complex West Picnic Shelter area. Participate individually or grab a friend and participate as a team!

Valleyfest Triathlon

Boat Put in: Spokane River at Mirabeau Point Park, South Parking Lot

Enjoy the scenery of Spokane on a timed Triathlon, taking place Sunday, Sept. 23 at 8:00am. This race consists of kayaking or canoeing 1.5 miles, biking 11 miles and running 3 miles. All transitions will take place at Plantes Ferry Sports Complex West Picnic Shelter area. Participate individually or grab a friend and participate as a team!

Valleyfest Family Bike Ride

North Centennial Trail Parking Lot, Mirabeau Point Park

Sponsored by: The Bike Hub and Yoke’s

Calling all families to Mirabeau Point Park for Valleyfest’s annual Family Bike Ride, sponsored by The Bike Hub. This ride is FREE for all families!

Check-in begins at 11:00am at the North Centennial Trailhead on Sunday, September 23 and at noon, the ride embarks along the beautiful Centennial Trail and Spokane River. There are four leader-guided routes to choose from including 6.8 miles, 8.8 miles, 13.5 miles, and 15.6 miles.

Traveling Trophy Award

$150 awarded to a school’s PE Classes for the school with the Most Participants in all the Valleyfest Multisport Races on September 23, 2018.

Traveling Trophy Award

$150 awarded to a school’s PE Classes for the Most School Spirit will be given to the school that shows creativity, energy, and a custom extravaganza in all the Valleyfest Multisport Races on September 23, 2018.

 

Special Hotel Accommodations: $95 a Night at Mirabeau Park Hotel & Convention Center

By special arrangement with Mirabeau Park Hotel & Convention Center, Valleyfest Multi-sport athletes can start and end their event weekend in a beautifully appointed executive room, including a delicious breakfast, for just $95 per night (plus tax and lodging fees).
