Spokane’s Second Annual GeoTour Begins July 15

Don’t miss Spokane’s second annual GeoTour, which launches this Friday, July 15.

Geocaching, the high tech treasure hunt played throughout the world, equips users with GPS devices or smartphones to find hidden containers (geocaches), outside, and then share the experience online.

This year’s family-friendly GeoTour celebrates Spokane’s film history with thirty geocaches hidden in notable areas in Spokane. Participants will use a passport to track their progress toward a collectible Geocoin prize, supplied by Cache Advance, the Spokane Valley geocaching store and company.

Geocache locations will be along trails through rural and urban areas tied to Spokane’s film history. Each stop features family-friendly activities, movie history, interesting facts, and more.
