The third annual Jackass Hill Climb will be happening Saturday, August 19 at Silver Mountain Resort in Kellogg, Idaho. This event will test the endurance of runners and mountain bikers as they race up approximately 3,300 vertical feet in seven miles. The race will begin at the Gondola Bay bright and early Saturday morning before briefly following the paved Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes through town. As the route begins to gain in elevation, it quickly turns to single track. This year the event will take place on the same day as Silver Mountain’s Brewsfest. Race to the top of the Gondola Bay, then relax as you enjoy a beer before taking the three-mile gondola ride back down the mountain. Registration closes Wednesday, August 16.
