The Idaho Ski Areas Association, branded as Ski Idaho, is once again offering the popular 5th and 6th Grade Peak Season Passport program for the 2026-27 winter season. Registration opens in October at Skiidaho.us. The program lets fifth graders ski or ride three free days and sixth graders two free days at each of 18 participating Idaho resorts, including Schweitzer, Silver Mountain, Lookout Pass, Sun Valley, Bogus Basin and other ski areas. The passport is open to kids from any state or country, and families must show it, along with a parent or guardian, at the ticket window to redeem a free lift ticket.
New this season, the Idaho Ski Areas Association board approved tiered pricing: a $29 processing fee for passports purchased before Dec. 20, rising to $49 after that date. Each passport also includes a complimentary family subscription to AirFlare, a mountain safety app. Blackout dates vary by resort, so check with each mountain before planning a trip.
