Spokane is hosting this year’s National Veteran Wheelchair Games July 13th to 18th. More than 500 athletes compete each year in events like archery, swimming, and wheelchair races. Admission is free, so go cheer on the athletes! Check out their website for the schedule and location of each event.

The Spokane Parks and Recreation Department has hired a non-profit firm, GP RED, to help conduct an ambitious comprehensive planning process. The intent of this project is to create a sustainable parks and recreation system for future Spokane residents.
