Kaniksu 50 and Emory Corwine Memorial Ruck Race (July 15)

The Kaniksu 50 Ultra-marathon and Emory Corwine Memorial Ruck Race is well known in the Inland Northwest for its stunning scenery and challenging course. This year, the race will be held on July 15 in the lower Selkirk Mountains.

The Emory Corwine Memorial Ruck Race is a 50-mile relay race in which each team member carries a weighted backpack for one of the five legs. The race was named in remembrance of fallen United States Air Force SERE Specialist, Emory Corwine, who passed away following a motorcycle accident. The race continues to honor fallen soldiers by naming various portions of the race in their memory. Runners are encouraged to weigh down their packs with non-perishable goods to be donated to 2nd Harvest in Spokane.

The race will begin promptly at 6:12 a.m. on July 15 in Frater Lake, WA. Costs for runners are $95 per individual or $300 per team. All proceeds are donated to local non-profits.
