Spokane Commute Smart: Incentives and Tools for Smarter, Greener Commuting

Spokane, Wash.

If you live in Spokane County and already choose alternative forms of transportation to get to and from work—or have been considering it—Commute Smart Northwest offers a range of valuable resources, tools, and incentives to make your commute more sustainable and rewarding. By encouraging residents to embrace alternative transportation options like carpooling, biking, and public transit, the program aims to reduce traffic congestion, lower pollution, and create a healthier, more connected community.

Commuters can sign up as individuals or under their employers if their workplace is already enrolled in the Commute Smart Northwest system. Participants simply complete an online form and begin logging their alternative commutes, which enters them into drawings for commuter rewards such as Sportsman’s Warehouse gift cards, Yeti coolers, rounds of golf, and a variety of monthly and quarterly incentive prizes.

The program also provides helpful planning tools, including ride-matching through CommuteFinderNW.com, where commuters can find a carpool or bike partner, and a commute cost calculator to see how much money and emissions could be saved by switching from driving alone to using alternative transportation. Whether you’re a solo commuter or a business leader looking to support employee wellness and sustainability, Commute Smart Northwest offers the tools and support to help you make smarter, greener commuting choices.
