Psycho Weather

Last night I saw bright white cloud being sucked west over the south hill against the dark blue eastern sky. To the west the horizon was on fire with an orange so bright it spread so high you could see it directly above downtown. At one moment, around 8:15, there was a bright rainbow east of downtown. Twenty five minutes later it was raining so hard that my windsheild wipers couldn’t keep up and I had to drive well below the speed limit.

Just a reminder of how fast the weather can turn this time of year, a crucial thing to remember if you are recreating outdoors. On Tuesday a hiking was killed in freak snowstorm on Mt. Ranier, according to this story in the Seattle Times.
