Spokane, WA, February 28, 2011 – Empire Health Foundation’s responsive grant round is open for applications beginning on March 1, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. and closes at 2:00 p.m. on April 12, 2011. Please visit our website for more information: empirehealthfoundation.org/apply-grants.
The Foundation recognizes the last several years have represented a difficult time of decreased donations and government funding. The goal of this Responsive Grant Program is to serve the immediate needs of a very broad and diverse set of organizations working on health-related issues throughout the seven counties that EHF serves: Spokane, Whitman, Lincoln, Adams, Ferry, Stevens and Pend Oreille. The Foundation encourages nonprofits that reach out to underserved populations to apply for grants, and to state that in their application.

Phone calls and appointments for feedback and application questions may be made with Program Coordinator
Jennifer Ramb at 509-315-1323, ext. 502 or by email at jennifer@empirehealthfoundation.org.
Grant recipients must be serving one or more of the seven counties in Eastern Washington. Successful applications will support the Foundation’s vision of investing in ideas and organizations improving access, education, wellness, research and public policy to result in a measurably healthier region. Applicants must also be a 501(c)(3) organization or other qualifying public entity. For more information about Empire Health
