Just in time for the annual spring hiking and running sock inventory and hole inspection that usually means it’s new sock time, CEP sent us a pair of each to try. This being the first time I’ve ever pulled on a pair of compression socks, I was unaware that they can help support joints, prevent injuries, and relieve pain in the feet. It was immediately clear that these are extremely solid and well-made. The run socks are a fully synthetic mid cut, and the hiking ones are a Merino/synthetic blend that leans heavy on the Polyamide and Spandex, giving them plenty of flex. Both sets of socks are moisture-wicking and are treated with silver to reduce foot stink. Shop for CEP socks locally at REI and Fleet Feet. (Derrick Knowles)
