Ride the 2023 Spokane Valley Cycle Celebration July 30

The Spokane Valley Cycle Celebration is one of the largest gatherings of the biking enthusiasts in the Inland Northwest each summer. Hosted by Valleyfest, the 2023 Cycle Celebration is set for Sunday, July 30 at Mirabeau Point Park in Spokane Valley. This family-fun event is an excellent way for bike riders and their families to spend the morning exploring the beautiful sights and sounds of the Spokane Valley area including some of the most scenic riverside trail miles and roads.

Cycle Celebration, which began in 2013, has become a beloved event for hundreds of riders of all ages. Last year, over 200 riders covered more than 5,000 miles meandering through the Spokane Valley. This year’s event offers three different ride options on 10-mile, 25-mile, and 50-mile ride courses.

The 50-mile “Hills Around the Valley” ride begins at 8 a.m. and is a challenging loop that takes riders north on the Peone Prairie and south to the Saltese Uplands, featuring a few hills that will test a cyclist’s hill-climbing skills. The 25-mile “Adventure Ride” starts at 9 a.m. and runs mostly south of Spokane Valley. Finally, the 10-mile “Family Friendly” ride is a perfect choice for families, and it follows the Centennial Trail to the Barker Trailhead and then back to Mirabeau Point Park. This easy route offers fantastic scenic views of the Spokane River and begins at 9:30 a.m.

All proceeds from the Spokane Valley Cycle Celebration benefit the Valleyfest Children’s Foundation. Registration is open through July 30, and riders who register before July 18 will receive a dry-fit t-shirt and a boxed lunch from Brothers Office Pizza, a major sponsor of the event. Online registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, July 28, but late registration is available at CenterPlace Regional Event Center on Saturday, July 29.
