Exciting news for outdoor adventure film lovers, the Banff Mountain Film Festival is coming to Spokane this weekend (November 20-22 at the Bing), and while the Friday and Saturday shows are already sold out, there are still tickets left for the 6 p.m. Sunday show.
Every year The Banff Center reviews hundreds of submissions to bring you the best action, adventure and expedition filled books and films. Here in Spokane, we’re fortunate enough to be among the first people in the country to see this year’s films. “The best part of hosting the World Tour is being able to witness a community of film buffs and lovers of the outdoors come together to share stories, be inspired to set out on new adventures and learn about the mountains they love,” says Phil Bridgers, Events Coordinator for Mountain Gear. Although we don’t yet know what films are coming to Spokane, check out the film festival website for a list of the 2015 film finalists.
Get your tickets ($20 per person) for the 6 p.m. Sunday show at Mountain Gear (2002 N Division). The film festival takes place at the Bing Crosby Theater in downtown Spokane. For more information, contact Mountain Gear at 509-3259000. //
