Mt. Spokane Ski Swap—Oct. 31-Nov. 1 | Spokane Fair & Expo Center
The Mt. Spokane Ski Patrol Ski Swap returns for its 62nd year, bringing more than 24,000 new and used winter sports items to the Spokane Fair & Expo Center. Shoppers can browse alpine and Nordic skis, snowboards, boots, clothing, helmets, goggles, backcountry equipment and more, with gear available from both local retailers and individual sellers. About 30 percent of the items come from individuals looking to sell their used gear, making the swap an opportunity to find equipment at a range of price points.
The swap runs Saturday, Oct. 31, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 1, from 9 a.m.-noon. Admission is $5, with free entry for children 12 and under. Those looking to sell gear can register items Friday, Oct. 30, from 3-8 p.m.; items should be clean and in good condition.
Beyond being a place to gear up for winter, the event serves as an important fundraiser for the all-volunteer Mt. Spokane Ski Patrol. Proceeds help cover the patrol’s operating costs, including first-aid and medical supplies, rescue equipment and training for the more than 150 volunteers who help keep skiers and riders safe on the mountain.
This year’s swap also honors the memory of Seth Fletcher, who served as ski swap director for more than a decade and played a significant role in shaping the event. Whether you’re looking to outfit the family, clear out last season’s gear or simply see what’s available before winter arrives, the swap has become a longstanding part of Spokane’s transition into ski season.
