That’s how cold the water is expected to be for the swimming portion of the Ford IronMan Coeur d’Alene this weekend. The Spokesman Review had an interesting article about the water temp here that ran yesterday (don’t know if the link will work). The lower temperature is from the intense mountain run-off this year. According to the piece the water temperature last year was 62 degrees and 50 people still had to be pulled from the water. Lifeguards are expecting more competitors will bail from the water this year.
