20 Tons of Snow to Fall on Gonzaga’s Crosby Quad

This Thursday, April 2nd, the Cricket Wireless Campus Rail Jam Tour will hold the 6th round of a nationwide ski and snowboarding tour, which is completely free and open to the public.

Starting at Noon on Thursday, dozens of skiers and snowboarders will traverse three treacherous rails on a course 20 feet tall by 100 feet long. The course will be built Thursday morning using 20 tons of snow trucked in from the mountains. The competitors will be vying for their share of cash and prizes that will be awarded to the top skiers and snowboarders.

The Cricket Wireless Campus Rail Jam Tour is the first tour to take snowboarding and skiing off the slopes and into the hearts of college campuses. From Boulder to Boise and Salt Lake City to San Diego, the 12-event Tour will stop on various college campuses throughout 2009. For a complete tour schedule, visit www.CampusRailJamTour.com.
