2025 marked the inaugural “GRIND” gravel circuit race at Riverside State Park, starting and finishing at Seven Mile Airstrip. This year’s course features an 11-mile loop on wide-open trails with minimal singletrack. It’s fast, nontechnical and suitable for mountain, gravel, cyclocross and hybrid bikes.

Riders can choose from three distances: 66 miles (6 laps), 44 miles (4 laps) or 22 miles (2 laps). Pick the Grind distance that best matches your fitness level.

The race includes chip timing, custom pint glasses, bike support at the start and chili and cornbread at the finish. Autumn weather promises ideal cycling conditions. Camping is available for an additional fee, and T-shirts may be purchased during registration.

The Riverside State Park Foundation uses donations and volunteer hours to support park improvements and ensure accessibility for all generations. All funds raised from The GRIND go directly toward park upgrades, equipment and programs. Examples include dog leashes, trail signs, picnic tables, bike racks, landscaping trees, tools and more.
