Keeping Chaco Footwear in Action and Out of Landfills
Looking for earth friendly story ideas to honor Earth Day in April?
Chaco shoes and sandals are built for adventure, but just like the rest of us, after so many adventures, they need a little R and R- resole and reweb that is. In 2012 the ReChaco program repaired 23,000 pairs of Chaco’s, keeping them in action and out of the trash or landfills.
Chaco has been making footwear for over 20 years, and each year the materials become stronger and last longer. With the aid of ReChaco, it’s conceivable that a single pair of Chacos will last for 10+ years. By working with the ReChaco team people can feel good knowing they’ve extended their footwear’s life and kept pair of shoes from going to waste.
ReChaco repairs cost $40 for re-soling and $36 for re-webbing IF the shoes are not covered by Chaco’s lifetime warranty. To learn more about the program, visit www.rechaco.com or check out our video.
