Busy parents looking to get their kids out running by signing up together for a race rejoice! Sandpoint’s biggest foot race of the year is adding a Kids 5K Run to the Scenic Half Marathon on Sunday, September 15. The 5K, for grades K-6, will start and finish at City Beach and run along the Sand Creek Trail. Race partner the Washington Elementary School will host the inaugural event and proceeds will go back to the school. Registration includes a kids’ t-shirt (while supplies last), a race bib, and a medal for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female finishers in each grade.
