The third annual Kan Jam Freestyle Festival is this weekend, February 5th-7th. Events include a Rail Jam, Slopestyle, and Big Air contests. Skiers and snowboarders of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to compete for prizes and bragging rights!
Rail Jam – Friday, February 5th, 6pm – Bunny Hill
Competitors slide & jib features such as rails and boxes to put together the best run to win.
Slopestyle – Saturday, February 6th, 11am – Half Hitch Terrain Park
Competitors cruise through the park hitting rails, boxes, and jumps to put together the best run to win. Spectators may watch from the course; must have skis or snowboards to ride lift to view.
Big Air – Sunday, February 7th, 11am – Lamonga Terrain Park
Best trick and biggest air takes the cake. Choice of two hits: big air or huge air.
All competitors receive a KAN JAM bandanna; competitors who sign up for all three events receive a limited edition Mt. Spokane Kan Jam hockey jersey. Entry fees are $25 for one event, $45 for two events, or $60 for three events. All competitors qualify for reduced price $15 lift tickets.
Music by local talent on Friday night — Local favorite The Other White Meat takes the stage in the Foggy Bottom Lounge Friday night at 6pm to the beat of the Rail Jam festivities.
