Sure, you can teach your kids a winter sport on your own, but professional lesson programs operated by local resorts may be a better path for both parents and kids. Instructors often have more success getting your kids to challenge themselves and progress with fewer meltdowns. An added bonus is time for parents to ski or ride or enjoy some alone time in the lodge. If you’re not sure where to start or what lesson program might be best for you kids(s), pick your favorite local ski area or the one that’s the shortest drive. Then give the snow sports school a call and talk with an expert who will be able to help you find just the right single lesson or multi-day group or individual program to best meet your child’s needs.
