For those of you with quality used outdoor recreation gear and apparel collecting dust in your garages, an alternative to Craigslist and e-Bay is coming to Spokane. Starting Saturday, March 4, NW Outdoors, a new outdoor gear consignment shop opening in the old Wintersport building (3220 N Division), will begin taking a wide range of gear on consignment in a hassle-free environment, including hiking, camping and backpacking gear; technical outerwear; bikes and biking accessories; paddling, climbing, and ski gear and more. “We don’t just sell gear, we also live for the adventure. Enjoying the outdoors is a passion that drove me to transition my personal life into a career,” says owner Mark Schneider. Gear drop-off hours will be from 3-6 p.m. daily or by appointment through the month of March. After stockpiling quality consignment outdoor gear, NW Outdoors will officially open its doors with a grand opening celebration starting at 10 a.m. on April 1 with snacks, local beer, and music to kick off the first opportunity to browse the shop’s selection of bargain gear. Normal business hours after April 1 will run from 10-6 Monday through Saturday and 11-5 on Sundays. Nwoutdoors.co. //
