Mt. Spokane Ski and Snowboard Park is hosting a meeting on January 16 to discuss issues related to uphill travel within the ski area boundary and solicit input from the growing number of backcountry skiers and snowboarders who regularly skin or hike up to the summit to “earn their turns” back down. The meeting is set from 6-8 p.m. at the Argonne Library (4322 N Argonne Rd.). Representatives from Mt. Spokane will have maps, draft policy ideas and other information on hand to help guide the discussion and facilitate the creation of a safe, enjoyable and fair uphill policy. Contact Mt. Spokane Ski and Snowboard Park with questions at 509-238-2200 or visit www.mtspokane.com
