Cycle Celebration 2024 Set for July 28

A Roller Coaster Journey to Smooth Trails

Planning the Cycle Celebration event this year has been nothing short of a roller coaster ride. The closure of the Centennial Trail threw a wrench into organizers’ plans, creating unforeseen challenges and adjustments. But now that the trail has reopened, the excitement is back, and the event is ready to roll on some of the smoothest and most enjoyable trails we’ve seen in years. As Cycle Celebration gears up for the big day on July 28, organizers can’t wait to welcome cyclists of all levels to this fantastic event.

The Cycle Celebration isn’t just about cycling; it’s about community, adventure, and soaking in the beautiful surroundings. This year’s event includes three different rides to suit all kinds of cyclists, ensuring that everyone can join in the fun.

50-Mile Hills Around the Valley

If you’re up for a real challenge, the 50-Mile Hills Around the Valley ride is the one for you. Check-in starts bright and early at 7:30 a.m. at Mirabeau Point Park, and the ride kicks off at 8:00 a.m. sharp. This route will take you through a series of hills that offer both a physical challenge and stunning views of the valley. It’s designed for experienced cyclists looking to push their limits and enjoy a rigorous workout amidst breathtaking scenery.

25-Mile Adventure Ride

For those who want a moderately challenging ride, the 25-Mile Adventure Ride is a perfect choice. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m., and the ride starts at 9:00 a.m. This route offers a mix of terrain, taking you through some of the most picturesque parts of the area. It’s ideal for intermediate riders who want to explore and enjoy a solid ride without the intensity of the 50-mile option.

10-Mile Family Friendly Ride

The 10-Mile Family Friendly Ride is all about fun and enjoyment for everyone. Check-in starts at 9:00 a.m., and the ride begins at 9:30 a.m. This route is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for families, including young children. It’s a fantastic way to spend quality time together while getting some exercise and experiencing the beauty of our local trails.

Post-Ride Relaxation

After the rides, participants can relax and refuel with sack lunches available at 11:00 a.m. It’s a great opportunity to mingle with fellow riders, share stories from the ride, and simply enjoy the sense of accomplishment that comes with completing your chosen route.

Rocking Out with the Randy Campbell Trio

Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Randy Campbell Trio will be playing classic rock throughout the event. Their music will provide an energetic and enjoyable backdrop, making the day even more memorable. Whether you’re riding or relaxing, the live music will keep spirits high and toes tapping.

A Community Effort

The Cycle Celebration wouldn’t be possible without the support and hard work of our community. From the volunteers who help with planning and logistics to the local businesses that provide sponsorship and resources, this event is a true testament to what can be achieved when we come together with a shared goal.

As we count down the days to July 28, organizers are filled with excitement and gratitude. The reopening of the Centennial Trail has rejuvenated spirits and reinforced their commitment to making this year’s Cycle Celebration the best yet. Whether you’re an experienced cyclist looking for a challenge, an adventurer ready to explore, or a family seeking a fun day out, there’s a ride for you. Join other riders for a day of cycling, community, and celebration on some of the smoothest trails we’ve had in years. Cyclecelebration.com
