The Tamarack and the Spruce are two brand-new overnight options at Riverside State Park, and they are a welcome addition to the campground at Bowl and Pitcher. Each cabin is roughly 400 square feet, and they’re slightly set apart from the tent camping and RV camping in order to provide a more peaceful visit. Both cabins sleep five guests and feature their own bathroom and shower (linens not provided), as well as a microwave and kitchen sink. The cabins are ADA accessible, and they allow pets for an additional $15 fee. There is a lot of space inside, and the vaulted ceilings feature a ceiling fan. Starting this September, they’re available for visitors year-round; however, fees vary depending on the season. Although there isn’t a timeline set yet, Riverside State Park hopes to add a couple more cabins to this portion of the Bowl and Pitcher in the future. But for now, the Tamarack and Spruce are super convenient, and they boast beautiful views of the Spokane River a little upstream from the Swinging Bridge. Most of all, these cabins supplement the campground with a great option for anyone who wants to experience Riverside State Park from something other than a tent or RV.Â
