Get ready—October 25–26, 2025 marks the return of the Mt. Spokane Ski Patrol Ski Swap at the Spokane Fair & Expo Center, a beloved annual tradition now in its 61st year. With more than 24,000 new and used items changing hands last year, shoppers will find racks full of skis, snowboards, boots, outerwear, bindings, helmets, and more. Doors are open Saturday at 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon—and entry is just $5 for adults, with free admission for kids 12 and under.

This event does more than move gear—it’s the primary fundraiser for the Mt. Spokane Ski Patrol, helping to fund first-aid supplies, training, rescue equipment, and daily operations. About 70 percent of the swap’s items come from regional retailers, while the other 30 percent are brough in by individuals. Many area ski resorts also use the swap as a pass-pickup and photo day, letting you leave with both gear and your season pass.

Planning to sell? Bring your clean, good-condition items to the north entrance of the Expo Center Friday, October 24 from 3 to 8 p.m., with no listing fee and a 20 percent commission if your item sells. On Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m., sellers can pick up unsold items or their checks—unclaimed gear becomes a donation. Volunteers who put in eight hours earn a special shopping window Friday night, giving them first pick of the swap floor. Don’t miss this season’s kickoff—shop, sell, or volunteer and help set the stage for a great ski year. Find all of the details at Skipatrolskiswap.com
