Nothing beats the energy and comradery of riding with other amped road or gravel riders, and the Lilac Century serves it all up on one day. Choose from four paved routes or a 32-mile gravel route and then ride the scenic Green Bluff area of north Spokane with other stoked cyclists on Sunday May 18. Once again, the start and finish happen at Big Barn Brewing, the ideal location for post-ride festivities! As in past years, all of the funds raised from this community ride go to help event creator Spokane Aurora Northwest Rotary Club support a range of fantastic non-profit causes.
2025 Lilac Century Bike Ride & Gravel Flamdangel Route Options
The Lilac Century Bike Ride offers rides of varying lengths and difficulty level, as well as the choice between tarmac and gravel, giving groups of family and friends with different definitions of what the ideal bike ride should be the chance to sign up together. All rides tour the foothill and farm country around Green Bluff and Peone Prairie on lightly-trafficked, hilly roads.
For 2025, there are four paved-road routes of varying lengths and one gravel option. When choosing the right route for your fitness level, keep in mind that the difficulty varies by elevation gain/loss too (see below). E-bikes are welcome on all routes. Online registration closes Thursday, May 15 but you can still register after that at packet pickup Saturday May 17 at North Division Bicycle or the morning of the ride at Big Barn Brewing. What is a Gravel Flamdangle you ask? Good question, but for the long answer you’ll need to sign up and experience it for yourself. What you can expect is a 32 mile +/- mixed route of pavement and gravel road (around half of the course is unpaved) with around 3,000 feet of climbing.
