This former mining area in Birmingham A L is now a trails park. This is a rope bridge leading to a treehouse. They did a great job on this park.

Behind me is a mine shaft. This former mining area has now been transformed into a really cool suburban park complete with hiking trails, mt bike trails and and ADA compliant pay-as-go zip line.

Had a very nice evening ride on this trail weaving through pee wee football games a people fishing off the river bank. The path ends up at a very nice AAA ball park.

This town has priority parking for golf carts at every shopping center. There are over 90 miles of golf cart trails. Most of the people we saw on carts were teenagers.A few folks were using the trails for walking and biking.

This city has a complete parallel transportation system for golf carts (and bikes and pedestrians).

This is a new bike/ped bridge on the trail in Columbus GA. The trai was created around the same time as Spokane’s Centennial Trail and now they are spending millions to upgrade it.

Every trail needs one of the: a squirrel crossing sign.

This is the Creek Indian Trail in Eufaulia AL. A great trail linking schools, parks, and an assisted living facility with the historic downtown.

Seen today: red cardinals, brown toads, a pitcher plant, and these purple berries.
