An Evening with Kris Tompkins – Paying our Rent to Earth

May 31, 2019 @ 5:15 pm - 6:30 pm

$15

Kristine McDivitt Tompkins leads Tompkins Conservation, creating national parks in Chile and Argentina, restoring wildlife, inspiring activism, and fostering economic vitality as a result of conservation. Kris and her late husband Douglas Tompkins—who died in 2015—are considered the most ambitious and successful national park-oriented philanthropists in history. After business careers with iconic American clothing brands—Kris as longtime CEO of Patagonia Inc, and Doug as co-founder of The North Face and Esprit—they changed the course of their lives more than 25 years ago to commit their funds, time and passion to biodiversity conservation.

To date, Tompkins Conservation has helped conserve more than 14.2 million acres, creating national parks, in collaboration with governments, other NGOs, and philanthropic partners.

Please join us for a presentation on the creation of national parks and the importance of taking action to protect the places you love.
