Dishman Hills Hike

October 12, Saturday 1 pm to 3 pm.  Hike is led by Michael Hamilton and Don Chadbourn; both are geologists.  Fee is $15.  You will hike three (3) miles on trails and will include some interesting stories about Dishman Hills.  The walk-and-talk hike will begin at Camp Caro County Park on the north side of Dishman Hills Natural Area at the end of Sargent Road, off Appleway Blvd in Spokane Valley.  The Ice Age Floods left behind some unique landforms and geologic features here.  Registered hikers meet at 1 p.m. at the upper parking lot and return abou 3 p.m.  Detailed registration information and forms are available on www.iafi.org/events.  Deadline is October 7.   For more information, call or text Jim Fox, hike registrar at 509.499.1816 or email iaficheneyspokane@gmail.com.  Sponsored by the Cheney-Spokane Chapter, Ice Age Floods Institute.
