About Out There Outdoors

Consider us your source for outdoor adventure beta in the Inland Northwest. Behind this magazine is a collection of writers and outdoors enthusiasts who love to bike, hike, run, ski, snowboard and paddle. We’re passionate about sharing trail tips, personal stories, local conservation news, race intel, gear reviews and more to help you get “out there.” The stories we share define what it is to live and play here.

Our seasonal, quarterly print publication covers the trails, lakes, mountains, small towns and amenities of eastern Washington, north Idaho, southwest Canada and occasionally northeast Oregon and western Montana. Its an incredible region to explore and —if you’re lucky—to call home.

Out There is more than a magazine. We’re the connective tissue in our outdoors community. Based in Spokane, Wash., we work with authentic advertisers and partner with nonprofits who support bike education, conservation and protect and clean our river. We’d love to add you to our community.

Explore Out There by picking up our free print magazine, to start! We publish four seasonally-driven issues a year: spring (Mar-May), summer (June-Aug), fall (Sept-Nov) and winter (Dec-Jan). We fill each issue with original, creative content for a range of recreational age and skill.

You can also attend The Spokane Great Outdoors and Bike Expo each February, an event we put on where we round up our favorite people and business in the industry in one place to make connections and plan adventures.

Once you get to know us, we hope you’ll join as an Out There Member. More than the membership perks (which include discounts from amazing partners), this is one way we work to strengthen our outdoors community. We want to help you find your people and your place in nature.

For now, peruse the articles on our website, follow our Facebook and Instagram pages, and sign up for our Adventure Email list. We’re available in print at over 300 of your favorite gear shops, grocery stores, breweries, coffee shops, restaurants and other local businesses in the area.

We’ll see you out there!
