Gear Review: Le Bent Women’s Backcountry Socks

Following in the footsteps of the Le Send backcountry touring sock launched last year, the Elyse Saugstad Pro Model Women’s Backcountry Socks keep the key design elements of the Le Send original (lighter compression to avoid vascular constriction and chilling, extra fabric in the toe box to better fit touring boots, and silicon stay-put strips) but adjusted the sizing of the foot and length on the calf to fit women better.

The socks are largely made with Le Bent’s blend of merino wool and rayon from bamboo, giving it natural warmth and wicking properties. Touring socks need to keep active feet warm, dry, and stuck on the foot where they belong.

These socks deliver on all accounts. Your feet will thank you for the investment.
