Fat Biking in Cranbrook, B.C.

On a ski trip to Kimberley Alpine Resort a few years back, we were rewarded for our white-knuckled, late-night driving efforts with a bluebird powder day. After a couple more days of easy hunting for mid-week powder stashes, we put away the skis and rented fat bikes for a change of pace and scenery on some of the fat bike trails on the golf course near the resort.

Cranbrook steps up the opportunities for turning some pedals in the snow. The city boasts one of the largest groomed, singletrack fat bike trail networks in western Canada. And the rolling terrain with wide-spaced trees around town makes for stellar winter riding. //
